4 Fun Things to Do in Reston this Spring
There are plenty of outdoor things to do in Reston this spring and year-round. Here are some ideas to get you outside this spring.
The Reston Farmer’s Market opens April 20! The weekly markets are held on Saturdays from 8-noon at Lake Anne Village. The market features items that are locally grown. A walk through the market is a delight for the senses and a great way to meet your neighbors.
On April 13 from 10-11:30, come out for an EGGnormous egg hunt! The event will be at Sunrise Valley Elementary School, 10824 Cross School Road, Reston. It is free for children infant to age 8. There will be a strolling magician, games and multiple moon bounces along with the egg hunt. Bring a camera and a favorite basket to carry goodies.
Love to get out on your bicycle? Check out the Reston Bike Club’s Ride Season Launch Party on Saturday, April 13 at the Old Ox Brewery. It will be a great learning, riding, and social event. Bike shops will be there to give your bike a free once over before the ride. Food trucks and beer will be available after the ride.
If you like to walk, take a walk on the Lake Thoreau Loop Trail. The Lake Thoreau Loop Trail is a 2-mile paved path that circles one of Reston’s four lakes as it meanders along neighborhood paths. The trail offers some lovely lake views and a good mix of hills and level trail, for a nice workout in a short distance.
We hope to see you out and about this spring! If you have any more ideas for fun in Reston, share them here.
