Good Luck to Reston’s Own Olympian!

As the 2018 Winter Olympics begin in PyeongChang, we’re proud to cheer for a local athlete! Maame Biney, a South Lakes High School senior, is participating in short track speedskating.   After her first race, she’s advanced to the semi finals! We can’t wait to watch her next race on Tuesday, February 13!

Maame isn’t the first Restonian to participate in the Olympics! Reston’s own Alan Webb competed in Track & Field in the 2004 Summer games. Grant Hill was selected as a member of the 2000 Dream Team for Basketball, but had to sit out due to an injury.

Good Luck to Maame! Reston will be cheering for you – loud and proud!!
