Good Reston Eats, COVID Edition

Pandemic precautions have impacted how most restaurants operate. In Reston, we are fortunate to still have many great takeout, delivery and curbside dining options. Here we offer a few that also highlight the variety of cuisine available locally.

Since COVID precautions change, please be sure to contact any restaurant for their current options and guidelines before ordering.

Reds Table

Can’t get more local than the three brothers who grew up right around the corner from what is now Red’s Table. They graduated from Sunrise Valley Elementary, Langston Hughes Middle School, and South Lakes High School, one after another. They currently offer cubside pickup and socially-distanced dining, and work with a few delivery services as well.

Founding Farmers, Reston Station

Founding Farmers in Reston Station was one of the first local places to add protocols and enhanced safety measures for takeout and delivery from the earliest days of the pandemic. They also offer limited indoor seating.

Uncle Julio’s in Reston Town Center offers dine-in and to go options. They have restricted their to-go menu more than most during COVID-19, but what they’ve kept available really works as takeout.

Stone’s Cove Kitbar

Just next door in Herndon, Stone’s Cove Kitbar is open for indorr dining at 50% capacity and also offers patio seating. Takeout and curb-side pick-up is available at no charge. Delivery is offered for a fee.

The Kitchen

The Kitchen is a cornerstone in the Reston community and has been recognized for its outstanding Chinese cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff. They offer dine in, takeout and delivery options.

Jinya Ramen Bar

Jinya Ramen Bar

This Reston Town Center restaurant has figured out how ramen should be packaged for takeout/delivery to result in a good eating experience: a container of broth, a container of noodles, a container of soft toppings, and shrink-wrapped nori. This location opened during the pandemic and they’ve hit the ground running.

Silver Diner

Silver Diner is open for indoor dining and open late for carryout and delivery. Like Ted’s Bulletin in Reston Town Center, they offer all day breakfast among other choices. Sometimes, breakfast for dinner is just what you need!

Give a Local Restaurant a Little Love

You may not feel comfortable dining out during the pandemic, but we hope these options will inspire you to try one or more local places. You’ll be supporting a local business and giving yourself a little break from cooking.
