How do I know what I can afford?

We are happy to connect you with a top tier lender for guidance through the mortgage process. Boofie & Margaret will follow your lead on pricing so you look at options you can comfortably afford.

How will I know what home options are out there?

Boofie & Margaret have led the way in the Reston market for decades. We know it inside and out. We will discuss your goals for your home, your style preference, space needs, and so forth.

Once we have a sense of what you’re interested in, we know Reston!  We know which neighborhoods have Colonial style, Contemporary style, Deck Homes, Waterfront homes, garage townhouses, etc. You will see the homes and neighborhoods that will meet your needs.

How will I know what the real value is of the house I’m interested in?

We will help you evaluate every house you see. Is it priced right based on condition and the current market? We’ll help you look over comparable sales.

Once you’re ready to submit an offer for a property, we will help you strategize the best approach. Are you interested in a delayed closing? Then, you may have to be more accommodating on price. Are you interested in an aggressive price? Then, you may have to be more accommodating on other offer terms.

We will walk you through a the details and help you understand how your offer may be viewed by a seller, so you have the best chance of success.

Once our contract has been accepted, what’s next?

Inspections, loan process, insurance and many other details come after you have a contract. We support you through the process.

Our team will help you schedule and negotiate inspections, answer questions that come up in the loan process, and track deadlines. We know what to expect, so we will stay on top of things for you!

What if I need help after closing?

Call us! We are your resource, even past closing!
